Blackboard Collaborate™ Mobile App Reviews

Its a great concept to be available to mobile users so I dont have to lug around a laptop to connect for a live session or listen to a recorded session, but this app wont work on my iPhone for my university sessions without Adobe.

It works as a fairly decent mobile app. Doesnt have all the functions as collaborate would on a big computer or laptop but worked in a pinch. I was asked to use whiteboard tools so a pen would be a nice addition next to the polling tools. I like it so far.

Im glad that they have an app for this! I really need it for my online course! Hopefully itll work great! It seems like it will work okay!

This app has saved me more than once having problems with viewing black board on a computer in flvsft For how I get it to work go and send yourself the link in a email that is linked with your phone or ipad when it opens go ahead and put you login id then it will transfer you to the app straight into the live lesson

Biggest thing Id like to happen is being able to watch recorded archived lectures. Hate how Im only limited to the computer. Otherwise app is ok.

but it needs some improvement. needs chat permission enabled so I can chat to my instructors, and not lose points and stuff. also needs an update.

The app is failing in iOS8, when you write disappears text cannot be can observe the comments of the room and not be return, or delete text.

I use this for my telephone class and it needs work because we might have to use this more often and it needs iOS 8 updates and updated features

This app hasnt been updated in 1 YEAR and still lacks plenty of features.

I think this is a wonderful idea, but is missing some key components that make collaborate work. I should be able to send private messages to the moderator. My teachers turn the chat off to make sure people stay on topic, but I cant say anything when she does that. We should also be able to move to other rooms. My teacher makes breakout rooms for people who need help with a problem, but I cant do anything to get into that room! I think this app needs a lot of work.

I work full time and Im a full time student so basically Im always on the run. My professor gives points for logging in for collaboration so this app makes it convenient. Brilliant idea. Thanks.

This app is possibly the worst app ever. I do PA cyber and I cant get a live class to open without it sending me to the App Store for it to not work. Really needs updated to fit the new iOS

Students should be able to chat, as required for their participation. A lot of classes require writing on the board and that addition would be a good integration, seeing as most people would be using this on a tablet/smartphone that has a touch screen.

I love the face that my school lectures are recorded BUT I cant watch them on my iPad and I use to be able too... I dont know why they got rid of that feature and it stinks. Not happy about it at all!!

Everything works fine, but it NEEDS the WHITEBOARD TOOLS such as pen, to write on the board, I was doing one yesterday and I had to tell another student to write on the board for me because I wasnt being able to write. If you fix that Ill give a 5 star

I was excited to hear my school was getting collaborate, but as always blackboard finds a way to disappoint me. This app looks like its 4 years old and it runs about the same. Every time I try to use the app it always finds some way to fail and I have yet to successfully stream a lecture. The most frustrating thing about the app is that it cannot stream archived lectures which I assumed would be a standard feature. get your act together blackboard

Like so many apps in the App Store, this one has fallen victim to abandoned development. The design language used throughout this app still hearkens to iOS 6 days and has not received an update in more than a year and a half. The best apps are those that keep at it and continue to iterate but Blackboard has done minimal effort to claim that their platform is mobile!

I got kicked off my internet and tried to use this app to get into my class and it just pulls up safari and does absolutely NOTHING it wont even pull up the site. This app is HORRIBLE I dont even understand why its in the App Store
